STORY ABOUT THE LOFT (The Least of These)
In August 2021, Pastor Sam and Jessie began gathering with a small group of people in their home. Their goal was simple: to create a safe space where people could heal and process their faith journeys. They valued honesty, trust, intentionality, and genuine connections as they learned and grew together. Above all, they hoped that everyone would truly encounter Jesus and experience growth in their relationship with Him.
As time went on, the group felt called to take the next step and plant a church. The Loft is a faith community for people to know and experience who God is. At The Loft, we aspire to be credible witnesses of God’s faithfulness, grace, and transformative love. We believe the church is more than just a place of gathering. We desire being the church, rather than just doing church. Being the church means embodying the characteristics of Jesus Christ in our everyday lives and living out our faith in ways that make a real, positive impact on our community.
Our Vision
To be a church that passionately impacts and influences our community by partnering with God in Kingdom transformation— bringing healing, restoration, and reconciliation to a hurting world.
Our Mission
To cultivate a community of credible witnesses— people who reflect the message, character, and life of Jesus in everyday life (Acts 1:8).
Our vision means we want to be a church that doesn’t just gather on Sundays but actually makes a difference in our city. We want to help people experience God’s love in real, tangible ways—bringing healing, hope, and change wherever it’s needed.
When we say Kingdom transformation, we mean partnering with God to see His heart and values lived out in our community. This looks like seeing Jesus transform lives, cultivating relationships, serving our neighborhoods, and expressing justice and compassion to those around us. We want to be a church that reflects God’s Kingdom— not just inside our walls, but in our everyday lives and in the places we live and work.
Our mission is to see our community transformed by God’s love— spiritually, relationally, and practically.
Credible witness: Someone who is reputable and reliable in reflecting the character and message of Jesus.
Kingdom transformation: Seeking to address social and spiritual issues that reflect God’s heart— co-laboring with God to bring healing, restoration, and reconciliation to a hurting world.
We seek to follow Jesus and live out His mission together by:
Encounter & discover: As we encounter God’s presence and love, we come to know Him more deeply and discover our true identity as His beloved ones.
Simplicity: We keep the main thing the main thing—loving God, loving people, and living the way of Jesus without the distraction of image or ego.
Transformation: We follow Jesus together, allowing His Spirit to reshape our lives so that our community reflects His love in word and deed.
Worship as a whole-life response: Worship isn’t just singing—it’s giving God back what’s His in every part of our lives: our minds, our work, our bodies, and our relationships.
Authenticity: We show up as we are—honest, imperfect, and open. We create safe spaces where real stories and questions are met with grace, not judgment.
Grace & honor: We treat one another with love and respect, believing every person bears God’s image. Even in disagreement, we choose the other’s dignity over division.
Healing & hope: We trust that Jesus meets us in our pain to bring restoration, renewal, and lasting hope.
Generosity: Because God freely gives, we give freely—our time, compassion, and resources— to meet the needs of others and to build them up.
Compassion in action: We join God in meeting the needs of others with the same love and mercy we’ve received from Him.
