Our Name
Our church name, The LOFT, comes from Jesus’ heart for “the least of these”—those who are often overlooked, hurting, marginalized, or pushed to the edges of society. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus identifies His people by how they treat “the least of these.” The phrase He uses comes from the Greek word ἐλαχίστων (elachistōn). It means the smallest of the small—the most overlooked, hurting, marginalized, or pushed to the edges of society.
A loft is a place above the noise, a space of refuge, perspective, and belonging. That reflects who we strive to be: a church that supports each other, makes room for everyone, and creates a safe space to encounter God and one another.
We believe no one is invisible to God, and no story is too broken to be redeemed.
